Western Airlines - September, 1979

Interesting note included in this timetable:

Local boarding traffic cannot be carried between Hilo and Honolulu. Western Airlines passengers may be carried on convenient connections via Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines for daily Western service to mainland cities.

Royale Airlines - November, 1979

Royale was a commuter that lasted until 1987. Here's an article from 1983 that details Royale's Continental Commuter operation.

National Airlines - March, 1979

How does an airline publish a timetable without a route map? Well, National Airlines did in 1979. Even without the route map, this timetable is a good example of how to use a timetable to advertise. I didn't know that Houston was a focus city for National, so I included the schedules for that city. I searched the internet for a National route map to no avail. I'll keep looking.

Allegheny Airlines - September, 1979

This is a great timetable. It features Allegheny morphing into USAir, which would eventually be renamed US Airways.

But with expansion came growing pains: by the 1970s Allegheny Airlines had the nickname "Agony Air" due to customer dissatisfaction with the carrier's service.
