Mohawk Airlines Ad - December, 1968

Mohawk Airlines was a northeast regional airline that was purchased by Allegheny Airlines in 1972, which later changed its name to USAir.

From USAir's website:

Allegheny acquired Mohawk Airlines, a Utica, NY, airline with service to most cities throughout NewYork and New England. With the merger, Allegheny acquired Mohawk's BAC-1-11 jets to complement its DC9s and became the sixth largest airline in the world as measured by passenger boardings.
If you expand this photo, you'll see a sticker on the side of the plane that says something like "Part of Allegheny."
